The director of ‘The Batman’ confirms Colin Farrell as The Penguin on Twitter

After months of speculation, the director of  The BatmanMatt Reeves, has confirmed that one of the most characteristic villains in the stories of the Gotham Bat comic, The Penguin , will be played by Colin Farrell ( Lobster ).

The director has announced it through a tweet in his personal account that includes a GIF from Farrell, specifically from his movie  Escondidos en Brujas.

In addition , it  is accompanied by the following message:  “Wait … is it you, #Oz? ” (“Wait – is that you, #Oz?”). Oz is the diminutive of the villain’s full name, Oswald Cobblepot , which definitely strengthens the rumors surrounding the actor since November.

In this way, Farrell joins a height cast for Batman’s next new adventure . Among the familiar faces is its protagonist, Robert Pattinson, who will be the Bat Man in person. In front of him, the other villains of the film will be  Paul Dano  ( Enigma ), Zoe Kravitz  ( Catwoman ), and  John Turturro  ( Carmine Falcone ).

To make matters worse, Reeves has  Andy Serkis as Bruce Wayne’s faithful butler,  Alfred Pennyworth , and  Jeffrey Wright , who will bring James Gordon to life.
